Kuwait Diabetes Society
Kuwait Diabetes Society (KDS) is an establishment of the Kuwait Medical Association (KMA) with more than 31,000 registered members to date. KDS is affiliated with the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), which is an umbrella organization of over 230 national diabetes associations in 170 countries and territories. KDS works in raising awareness about diabetes in Kuwait and provides workshops for the medical and non-medical community to share updates relevant to diabetes.

Diabetes Mellitus is a condition in which high blood glucose levels are caused by an absence of insulin or a problem in the action of insulin. The three most important types of diabetes are Type 1, Type 2 and Gestational Diabetes Mellitus.
